Yesterday was a good day! I went to bed physically tired, which leads to a wonderful nights sleep! Last night I played an hour of doubles tennis with some friends from class, and then went on a quick (for me) 2 mi run. I ran my fastest solo mile ever — 10:18! My second mile was not so great at 11:30, but I was happy with my “quick” run. I was so tired when I got home I showered, read a little, and went to bed early.
I haven’t been posting much about my breakfasts and lunch. The reason for this is because it’s mostly the same things — eggs, cheese, & bacon, smoothies, or if I have enough carbs an apple with peanut butter. I am going to try to mix things up a bit so I don’t get bored, and also because I still don’t know if it’s okay to eat eggs every single day… I’ll update when I figure it out!
This morning I made a new smoothie, we’ll call it…Banana Berry Chia Seed Smoothie! It’s pretty great, if I do say so myself! I am out of spinach, so I added Chia Seeds instead. It’s 428 calories, but 40 g carbs. I’ll have to work on that carb factor — the fruit alone was 25 g carbs. Maybe I’ll find a lower substitute to the Very Cherry Mix. It’s just what I had in the freezer, so I used it! I’m pretty sure this thing will keep me full for hours, though, so maybe I’ll just eat breakfast and dinner today.
Tonight I am scheduled for a long run and I’m going to take it slow and easy — aiming for a 7 mile run. My exercising has been on par for the last week (except my rained out run) and I’m going to try to keep it that way!
Ohh, one more thing! My fun fact for the day — you can regrow your green onions! Just keep the bulbs and put them in a cup of water. This is my second try and is going well. The first time I did this they got moldy in the bulbs, but they’re looking good so far!
Have a nice Thursday!
